On any day in the year its summer somewhere in the world, according to the 1964 iconic surf movie, The Endless Summer, directed, produced, edited and narrated by Bruce Brown.
The Endless Summer is one of the first and most influential films of the surf-movie genre, creating and defining and entire category of cinema and selling more than 100 million copies. Surfer Magazine rated the move “Best Surfing film ever” in 2007!
All those years ago Bruce loved to surf. It was his dream to spend one entire year surfing, changing hemispheres as the seasons changed, circling the globe enjoying The Endless Summer and looking for the perfect wave in the process.
Bruce followed two American surfers, Mike Hynson and Robert August, around the world in their quest for the perfect wave.
